Frederick Crest is proud to announce its selection of Dr. Ethan Dmitrovsky as the new Chair of the Governing Board.

Dr. Dmitrovsky has an extensive, professional background in biology and medicine.

A graduate of Harvard and Cornell University’s Medical School, he is currently the Laboratory Director of the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research and President of Leidos Biomedical Research and has held this position since November, 2017. In addition to this, he also chaired the Board of Scientific Counselors for Clinical Sciences and Epidemiology for the National Cancer Institute.

A former Interim Dean of Dartmouth’s medical school, he served as Department Chairman for 10 years before becoming an American Cancer Society Clinical Research Professor in 2008. He also served as Senior Adviser to the President of Dartmouth College for science and technology and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation.

He is the former Provost and Executive Vice President of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also served as the Olga Keith and Harry Carothers Wiess Distinguished University Chair and American Cancer Society Professor at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Dmitrovsky completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Hospital-Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute.
